Elliptical Bob and Conical Chel

A dimension swapping platformer made for Asymmetrical Jam. Guide Elliptical Bob and Conical Chel as they attempt to find and destroy the interdimensional reactor binding their dimensions together. Is this story actually reflected in the game? Only loosely!

Linux and mac builds are untested. Web build should work fine except sometimes the audio seems to lag a lot. Try a download build if you have issues!

Challenges attempted:

  1. Hide a lobster
  2. Support color-blind players

HOW DO I DO LEVEL 5?!

Watch Joshua's Indie Game Showcase 2020-02-23 (Asymmetrical Jam) from MrJoshuaMcLean on www.twitch.tv

Good game, I like the feel! Part from disappearing platforms on made me think :)

What I didn't quite enjoy is that Ctrl mode is two-step and that it can only be triggered while on the ground. Also I think genre of puzzle action is asymmetrical by itself (jam topic) :P

The boss idea is good, but it's not clear if level restarts or if hit was successful. And color switching is too fast for me there!

Thanks for playing. Switching only on the ground was a design choice, for a while I allowed it in the air but it was quite hard to design levels because you had a lot of freedom of movement.

The boss could definitely use better feedback. If you get reset back to the left you got it wrong and took a hit, if you just fall down you hit the boss. :)
